Bus Components

With NexLight, a simple, two-wire, non-polarized signal bus interconnects all components. Adding or expanding to a system is as simple as running the 2-wire bus to the newly included panel. Home run signal wiring is not required for each component, terminations are exceedingly simple to make, and commissioning is easy as well.

Item Model No. Description Specs
BFM  Blink Flash Module

The NexLight (BFM) blink ash module, is designed to provide a blink flash warning to occupants, informing them that the building is approaching an “after hours” mode.

WR3912  Amplifier

The WR3912 Amplifier is used to boost the NexLight signal bus to allow for more switches and/or greater wiring distances.

WR3931  Signal Line Monitoring Unit

The WR3931 is a Signal Line Monitoring Unit that detects and displays any duplicated relay controller channels. It also detects short circuits on its output terminals and disables the output if a short condition exists thus protecting the rest of the bus from the short circuit. As an additional feature it provides supplementary protection from surges and electrical noise.

WR8  Signal Line Changeover Unit

The WR8 Signal Line Changeover Unit monitors the NexLight communications bus. If a failure of the bus is detected it provides a set of changeover contacts to allow the substitution of a redundant WRT2050 Transmission Unit.

WRT 2050  Transmission Unit (CPU)

The WRT2050 Transmission Unit (CPU) is a system level device used to: 1. Monitor signals from switches, relays, and contact inputs. 2. Direct the desired change in the corresponding relays, dimmers, and switch LEDs. 3. Stores all system addressing in EEPROM.

WRT2550  Multi-System Interface Unit

The WRT2550 Multi-System Interface unit is an interface to provide two-way communication between a primary NexLight system and up to four secondary systems for up to 32 total individual addresses, groups or patterns. The addresses are set by the use of the WRT9500 or WRT9600 addressing tools.

WRT2580  Switch Disabling Unit

The WRT2580 Switch Disabling unit allows remote disabling of switches mounted on its output side. It is used when switch operation is not desired during certain times of day or events. Its function is controlled by a switch or time clock addressed to the address of the unit. When disabled, switches on the disabled bus continue to show actual load status but commands initiated by "disabled switches" are blocked.

WRT3214  Contact Input (4) Humidity rated

The WRT3214 is a four-port, humidity-rated contact input device for addressing non-NexLight third party devices such as photocell, time clocks, building automation systems, security systems and fire alarms onto the NexLight communications bus. It is intended for areas where high humidity is a concern. Each input can be individually addressed with the use of the WRT9500 or WRT9600 addressing tools.

WRT3224  Contact Input (4) (IR)

The WRT3224 is a four-port contact input device for addressing non-NexLight third-party devices such as photocell, timeclocks, building automation systems, security systems, and fire alarms onto the NexLight communications bus. Each input can be individually addressed with the use of the WRT9500 or WRT9600 addressing tools.

WRT3540  Astronomical Time Clock

Astronomical Time Clock provides multiple on/off capability per day on each of 30 separate channels. It includes the ability to enable, disable and select special day features from anywhere on the NexLight control bus.

WRT4622  Status Monitor Contact Output

The WRT4622 Status Monitor Contact Output unit monitors the status of any valid NexLight address and provides a contact output when the address is true. It is used to provide logic functions to the NexLight system.
